Thursday as a Caution Flag
How do you view Thursday? Do you view it as just one day away from a 2 day escape or do you view it as a caution flag warning you that you only have a couple days left to accomplish your goals? I suggest that you take time every day to review your goals, so you should always be on track and moving forward even if it is just a slight improvement. If you use Thursday as a caution flag it helps you maintain your focus so that it doesn't lag in these later parts of the week.
Keep moving forward, just make sure you are focusing on your goals and not escaping. Your weekend will be much more enjoyable if you have that sense of accomplishment knowing you have a successful week behind you!

The Motivology Matters blog has been updated http://motivologymatters.com/motivology-blog/20-aspire-to-inspire
Aspire to Inspire
We often see stories of people that are just very inspirational. They have completed some great task against some great odds. When we see this we just might have one of two thoughts. First, we might think that if they can accomplish that with their challenges then I should be able to complete my menial task with my ability without any problem...I have nothing to complain about. Second, you might look at that individual and think that you want to have that ability to inspire others. You just might want to complete some great feat or tell some amazing story that will touch others and make them just want to be better.

What is your motivation?
There are all kinds of things that drive me. One of the places I go to look inside and focus on my motivation is a beautiful beach. The wind on your face and the lapping of the waves. It just helps me find inner peace.

Employee Motivation
do you struggle to keep your employees motivated? The problem with this is that your employees are already motivated. Every single one of your employees have their own motives for what they do and don't do. The key is to find what drives their motivation. What are their underlying goals and ambitions. Once you have discovered what they are passionate about, you can help them succeed in their current roles.
So, don't try to motivate your staff, try to engage them. Keep in mind you can't just show them a motivational video and expect them to immediately respond. Once your employees know you care about them and want to help them succeed, they will engage you as well and strive for success in everything that they do.

Restuful Weekend
It was a great weekend! Last week I really put a lot of focus and energy into Motivology Matters and am very excited with the progress. This weekend was a much needed break away from the project, time to clear my head and gain some fresh energy.
Monday morning will find me back at attacking the goal and making sure that everything keeps moving forward. Website to develop, e-courses to work on, and of course the podcast.
If I focus on my motivation the ambition seems to follow and fill me with the enthusiasm it takes to keep running at such a high level. It is the fuel of life!

Busy Morning
It was a busy and productive morning. I have been reviewing quotes to do a couple of web projects, mostly focused on MotivologyMatters.com. I also started the process for a podcast to be on iTunes. I am hoping that it gets approved soon while my focus is there.
In light of the podcast, I have done a few things. First, there was the matter of getting the hosting set up and I am going to go with podbean for right now. They have a free starter package and I have found a few mentions of it. The key for me is that they had built in iTunes functionality. I then made sure that everything was set-up on my conference call line so that I can record interviews in mp3 format.
In the middle of all of the above I am working on tweeking some of my website stuff. I am developing one for a friend while also developing Motivology Matters AND another site that will just be a front end for some of our training materials. did I mention I also need to work on a website to manage the web projects I am doing? The web projects are Joomla extensions that will be available for sale once the programmer is done with them.
Too much on my plate? As long as none of it falls off, I am going to keep on stacking and moving forward.

One Step Closer
Still moving ahead and I can see the project getting not only closer to completion, but also seeing how it fits into the big picture. Talked with someone today about partnering on the "Think On Your Feet" book from Ken Wydro for future projects. I think his energy will help with future Motivology Matters projects.
The key is to keep moving one step closer, no matter how small that step seems. Movement is good as long as it is forward and headed towards your goal. I managed to not only move a little closer today, but also knocked out a couple side projects that needed to be completed as well.
Mark today up in the book as a good one!

Mixing Relaxing and Work
Beautiful weekend here in Michigan and I am enjoying time relaxing with my two boys while also work on the video series. I really enjoy Ken Wydro's book, "Think On Your Feet". He has very concisely provided information on improving your communication skills. A great part of the book is that he helps you build your communication skills by helping you build your confidence and your awareness of self.
So, while the kids are playing at the beach, I am going to review another chapter of the book and do my preperation work for the video. I will let you know when it is complete. Meanwhile, head over to http://motivologymatters.com to see part 2 of the video in the blog section.

How do you communicate?
What good is motivation, ambition, or goals if you can't effectively communicate?
We are currently developing our motivology program, but realized that the ability to effective communicate, to think on your feet, was extremely important, regardless of where your focus and energy was. That is why we have taken some time away from our core motivation study to review Ken Wydro's book "Think On Your Feet". We have an eleven part video program that looks at how Wydro lays out a clear path for you to develop your communication skills.
Visit our website http://motivologymatters.com and sign up for our mailing list to be notified when this free video series on "Think On Your Feet" by Ken Wydro is available.

Amazing View
I love WV, this is the new river. Beautiful images like this keep my spirits up and keep me focused on my goals.
Immediate Challenge
One of the hardest things to overcome in terms of motivation is figuring out how the immediate challenge fits in with the long term goal. I have found, that in many cases, the reason you can not get the ambition to overcome the challenge is because it does not fit it with the long term motivation.
When you run into a wall, take the time to really analyze what is going on. Is this something you really have to do to achieve your goals? How does it fit in? Once you understand the larger picture, the challenge seems a little bit easier. #motivology
